In 2 hours the group from St. Albans, consisting of 15 youth and five adults built five book shelves and organized 95% of the books alphabetically and by genre on the shelves.  Nell estimates the group did three months worth of work in 2 hours for Step by Step which will enable the new librarian who will start in January to get a head start in re-distribution with new wish lists received from teachers, youth and organizations which serve youth at poverty level. Thanks to the donation by the Kanawha County Public Library after their annual book sale at the West Virginia Book Festival approximately 750 books were given to seniors around the county.  Thank you also to VISTA  Waylan Bryant for delivering these boxes to all five centers. One neighbor donated books and one person from freecycle donated a large quantity of quality books. Thank you for those who helped staff the tables and package&lt;br /&gt;the boxes.  Thank you for those who provided moral support and information about how&lt;br /&gt;to organize and run the event.  Thank you to everyone who purchased books, donated monies,&lt;br /&gt;and donated books to the operation. A very special thank you to all of those people who delivered&lt;br /&gt;books to the wish list recipients in their home counties.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We collected and distributed just under 2000 books this week. &lt;br /&gt;Books were delivered to preschool classrooms and daycares in 24 counties&lt;br /&gt;out of the 32 counties requesting books.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Exact totals and locations will be revealed here this week!
